Led by JESCO, Inc., Montgomery Whitewater was built through a collaboration with premier engineering firms Goodwyn Mills & Cawood and Calibre Engineering (S2o), and supported by the skilled and detail-oriented construction professionals at Russell Construction. This exceptional team combined their world-class expertise, precision craftsmanship, and commitment to quality to create a facility worthy of international competition and family friendly adventure.
JESCO, Inc. served as the Construction Manager at Risk, orchestrating every aspect of the build from groundbreaking to grand opening. JESCO coordinated multiple engineering firms, specialty contractors, and complex construction schedules to ensure Montgomery Whitewater was delivered on time, on budget, and to the exacting standards required of an Olympic-level venue—transforming an ambitious vision into a world-class reality.

Goodwyn Mills & Cawood (GMC)
Goodwyn Mills & Cawood (GMC) delivered expert civil engineering, landscape architecture, land surveying and construction material testing services that were instrumental in shaping the overall vision and functionality of Montgomery Whitewater. From designing the infrastructure that supports a world-class whitewater facility to crafting the landscaped spaces that enhance the guest experience, GMC played a pivotal role in bringing both the beauty and performance of the site to life.
Goodwyn Mills & Cawood is one of the largest architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast, offering a full range of services including planning, design and construction administration in the areas of architecture, civil engineering, electrical engineer, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, interior design, landscape architecture, land surveying, mechanical-plumbing engineering, transportation engineering and disaster recovery services. Calibre Engineering, Inc. (S2o) led the design and engineering for Montgomery Whitewater’s channel system, applying their specialized whitewater expertise to create the Olympic-standard course with state-of-the-art swiftwater rescue training capabilities. Calibre (S2o) developed a site plan informed by precise channel modeling to optimize water flow, safety, and performance, which Jesco, Inc. brought to life as the Construction Manager at Risk. Calibre’s technical mastery ensured that the Montgomery Whitewater channel system meet the demands of elite athletes while delivering an exciting, safe experience for recreational guests.

Russell Construction of Alabama led the general contracting for the Montgomery Whitewater Outfitter Store and on-site restaurant, delivering signature spaces that blend form and function for guests. From our state-of-the-art whitewater channel system to on-land experiences like our aerial ropes course, kids’ low elements and bouldering wall, and hiking and biking trails, Montgomery Whitewater delivers world-class outdoor adventure for all ages.
Open year-round, our park is more than just whitewater. Guests can enjoy seasonal outdoor ice skating (on real ice!), relax at our on-site restaurant with ample outdoor seating and the best view in town, and gear up at the Outfitter store.
